1. uTorrent

Hands down, uTorrent is one of the most popular, feature-rich and lightweight BitTorrent clients out there supporting multiple platforms like Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android. uTorrent has several useful features like remote monitoring, bandwidth schedules, automatic downloads from torrent RSS feeds, labeling, torrent search, etc. Even with all the advanced features, uTorrent’s user interface is simple enough for novice users and pretty enough for advanced users to play around.

The only bad thing about uTorrent is that it tries to install toolbars and stuff (aka crapware) while installing the application and the terrible in-app advertisements. Sometimes the advertisements are so deceptive that they trick users into clicking them. If you watch out for these cons, you will really enjoy the uTorrent torrent client for its features. If you are thinking of the official BitTorrent client, then it is nothing but a rip-off of the uTorrent client.

2. Deluge

Deluge is yet another torrent client that supports almost all the essential features like DTH, bandwidth scheduling, UPnP, magnet URLs, etc. To top it off, Deluge is an open source application supporting Windows, Linux, and Mac platforms. Though Deluge is built on Client-Server technology to support remote functionalities, it functions just like any other torrent client out of the box. The good thing about Deluge is that it is built for performance, and if you find it slow, just tweak the settings and you are good to go. Moreover, Deluge has a wide range of plugins which can be used to further extend the features as required. Simply put, it just resembles the uTorrent client minus the adware and advertisements.

3. Vuze

Vuze is more than a torrent client, it doubles as a media manager with support for functions like HD video sharing, high definition video player, integrated cross codecs, playback on devices, etc. Vuze lets you subscribe to any media content and it even supports burning CD/DVDs out of the box. Of course, the downside of Vuze is that it is more resource intensive than the regular torrent clients and some of the useful features like antivirus integration are only available for pro users.

4. Transmission-Qt Win

Transmission-Qt Win is a fully-featured lightweight bitTorrent client which acts both as client and server. The official Transmission-Qt torrent client only supports Mac and Linux platforms, but the one we are discussing is an unofficial Windows ported build promptly named Transmission-Qt Win client. Though the user interface is a little different from all the other torrent clients, it does have all the features of the official version like support for full encryption, magnet links, port forwarding, tracker editing, etc. If you don’t mind the basic interface, then Transmission-Qt Win is for you.

Other than the ones that are mentioned above, there are a lot of good torrent clients out there like qBittorent, Tixati, Tribler, etc., with similar features. Just give them a try and find the one that fits your needs. Hopefully that helps, and do comment below sharing your favorite bitTorrent client.
