Another reason we just can’t type a single sentence without adding an emoji is because we react to emojis the way we would respond to a person’s face. That’s because it has been scientifically proven that the same parts of our brains are activated when we look at a happy face emoji or a person’s smile. Both of them transmit a positive feeling. If you’re like me then you’re on Twitter every single day, and you always have something to tweet about, but your Twitter experience isn’t all that great because you feel like something is missing, and that’s inserting emojis For now, all we can insert in our tweets are pictures, GIFs and polls.

Adding an emoji to one of your tweets is not impossible since we can add one thanks to a Chrome extension called EmojiT. Once you have added the extension, you are going to see a happy face emoji with sunglasses on right where your other Chrome extension icons are. Don’t click on the icon to see the emoji’s; you will see those on your Twitter account like in the image below.

If you already have way too many Chrome extensions, and the last thing you want to do is add another one, you can always try iEmoji. It’s a web app that is completely free to use. To use emojis in your tweets with this app, you just need to sign into your Twitter account like I did below, and you’re set.

You can also see that the emojis are separated into different categories such as People, Places, Nature, Objects, Symbols, New, Skin Tines and Theme. If you’re a Windows 10 user, you have your very own Emoji keyboard built into your OS. You can access it by clicking on the keyboard icon in the lower right-hand corner of your screen. If you don’t see it, then you need to enable it by right-clicking on the taskbar and choosing the “Show Touch Keyboard” button. You should now see the keyboard icon in the notifications area. Once you have the keyboard open, you should see a smiley face next to the spacebar and Ctrl. Click on the smiley face to get access to all the emojis Windows 10 has to offer.

In the last row of the keyboard you will see different categories such as Food, Recently used and travel. To move from one page to another, you can use the arrows located on the left side of the keyboard. To add an emoji to Twitter is as easy is as clicking on the emoji you want to use after you have typed the tweet. The online keyboard will be an extension of your physical keyboard.

Conclusion

Using emojis is something that we just can’t live without since it helps us to express ourselves better and it also adds life to our tweets. Do you usually add an emoji to every tweet you send out? Let us know in the comments.
